Day 24

For the first half of the class I was looking for some inspiration for my last 2 projects. I found new things that I could use in Photoshop and fiddled around with the perspective warp tool, using multiple images of nature to create a cool image. I also found things such as Typography to be interesting so I want to give that a try.

Day 23

I spent half the class catching up with my daily entries and then looked for new tutorials on photoshop, using Google and YouTube.

Day 22

After spending 2 1/2 classes on the Low Poly Art I finally creating something I was satisfied with. The original image was of a fennec fox and then I created a Low Poly image of it.

Day 21

I slowly worked on the Low Poly Art making sure I wasn't making any mistakes and to ensure I tried to create the image of the subject rather than trying to just cover the entire image with polygons and colors, I wanted to make sure it looked like the animal I was basing the whole project on.

Day 20

After making the Low Poly art from the other day and not liking the result I wanted to create a better one. I searched on Google for a new portrait of an animal, because Low Poly Art works best on images like these. I found an image I liked and got straight into working, making sure I paid attention to what shape and where I created the polygons in the image.

Day 19

After I finished creating polygons and filled them in with the correct color I created another copy of the split image using Ctrl+J, and the flipped the picture horizontally and pieced it together with the other half of the image. After doing all this I realized it didn't look good, because I made such big polygons I didn't get any detail of the subject. So I wanted to start over and use a different image, one I liked more.

Day 18

I tried my hand in making something Low Poly like, using a portrait of a lion I found on Google. After cutting out the lion from the background I split the picture in half in order to save time, and to make it all symmetrical in the end. At that point I began making the polygons trying and using a Smart Filter called ''Blur'' and then used its ''Average'' option to fill in the polygons with the correct color.

Day 17

I followed along with multiple tutorials on Low Poly Art, and discovered there was many ways to do it. Some would use the line tool to create ''save points'' in case they messed up on certain points, which seemed extremely time consuming but a good approach. Others just used the Polygonal Lasso Tool to create polygons within the image after cutting out what they wanted to work on.

Day 16

I liked pixelated pictures of people and animals so I wanted to try to create one, so I spent the whole class searching for the right method of doing so, and then I ran into Low Poly Art, which isn't the same as ''Pixel Art'' but it looks better and seems I'm more eager to learn how to do it.

An Example of Low Poly Art:

Day 15

Today I completed another of my of projects which was about creating a realistic sketch from Photoshop. After looking at my set of brushes in Photoshop I found that there was a few brushes that looked like they could be used as pencil strokes. So I had the idea of creating a project which was about a sketch on a plain white canvas. I used the Clone Stamp tool and used the brush presets and used the base picture of the model. After copying down the original picture I created a White Background layer and then another transparent layer above it. I then had to manually scribble across the entire screen for almost a straight 10 minutes to get what I thought was a good sketch.

Day 14

Today I continued working on my city photo manipulation project and finished it, adding in a picture of a forest. I had to add a mask onto it just like with the mountains in the back, using the brush in order to help blend it in with the rest of the picture while also adding a mist/fog like look.

Day 12 & 13

On days 12 and 13 I was sick and wasn't in class, but I didn't do nothing. I was thinking of more things I create and how much more creative I could be with them. For example, instead of using double exposure on a person maybe I could use it on an object or animal.
